It was an awesome weekend full of holiday parties, reuniting with good friends, and getting a brand new mattress (best thing ever!!). It was great to catch up with all of our friends that we haven’t seen while we have been gone. We danced in a garage turned dance floor in our favorite reds on Friday, enjoyed a quiet night at home Saturday while it rained, and last night had a fondue dinner with our great friends Hillary and Matt. We are enjoying settling back in to life in Traverse for the next month and a half before we head together to Salt Lake City for Alt Design Summit in January.

This week I am spending the week perfecting and printing my new line of prints that I cannot wait to share with you guys. As I am going through this process I have enjoyed discovering other artists and creators out there and what they offer, which is how I came across Castle. The embroidery and felt work is amazing and I couldn’t be more in love with the bright colors, simple shapes, and fun phrases. I think if I could ask for one thing for Christmas it would be one of these. So beautiful and fun.

I hope it cheers your Monday up! I feel like it’s going to be a good week don’t you?!

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
