This husband and wife team from Eight Hour Day in Minnesota are one of those design teams to keep tabs on. They are fun vibrant people and currently doing my dream trip. They are traveling around the US to some of the top cities in design and art. They began their one year trip for inspiration back in September 13th in 2010 and are spending 1 month in every one of the cities. You can see more about their trip on their blog. I have always dreamed of doing this.

On top of being in the middle of the coolest trip ever they are incredible designers. They work with clients like Target, Harvard, New York Times, Wired Magazine, and tons of other amazing clients. Not to mention they create fun block graphic letter press prints that are perfect for any one’s home. I personally would love to have one hanging on my wall.

It is evident through their work their love for life each other and of course their studio pup. It has been fun to keep up with their travels and their work. So if you are not following them I promise they are always sure to brighten your day with their vibrant work and of course always inspiring.

Happy Tuesday!

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
