Designer Crush: Maricor/Maricar

This week while deciding between which designer I should feature I had some trouble. I could give you a list of designers that are out there right now doing some of the most innovative work. I work daily with designers and other creatives that ask why I don’t feature them on here but it is hard to have a crush on someone you know too well ha. Sorry guys!

That being said I have been drooling over the work of Maricor/Marcar for a while. A set of twins from Australia who work in a whole new realm of design. They do everything from web to hand sewn art…yeah that’s right! I said hand sewn art. The typographic skills used to create these pieces is astounding and worth showing as much of it as possible. I am completely crazy about the creation of letters in these pieces but also the combination of colors in the process and even to mention the detail.

Make sure to keep up with their work and check out their killer cool site. I love the cleanliness of everything. It just screams perfection.

Have a St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Don’t forget to wear your green! No pinching.

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
