I had to share a few things that came up through my feed this morning while drinking coffee and eating breakfast. Since I missed the Monday Inspiration post this week I thought I would share some things that just made my warm and happy inside.

Today I am back from our little Anniversary Trip. We got back late last night. Our trip was a ton of fun and though nothing was over the top and everything we tried to plan didn’t work out, we had an amazing time together. We both were really needing to get away and not think about work or what was coming up the next week. I wish we could do this more often and to further away places but it was still nice to take small trip.

This week is going to be very crazy in order to get everything done and I am already looking forward to the weekend. There is just too much to be done in such a short amount of time. Last week was the same and I realized that for 5 days straight I never got in a car and went anywhere till Friday night. Sick, right?!

Well I would love to begin transitioning out this insanity soon. We started listening to the book ReWork while on our way home last night and it got me thinking about a lot of things as far as work and where things are heading. I really don’t want to be exhausted at the end of the week but rather want to feel energized when a new week rolls around. So I plan on spreading out deadlines better and making more time to get to the things that need to happen in my own business for me to get to where I want to be as a designer and a blogger.

So all that to say 1. bear with me this week things might be a little inconsistent 2. Change is good and 3. if you are business owner (small or big), thinking about starting a business, or hate your job and want to be doing what you love read ReWork. It will challenge your thoughts and ideas in the best way. Also as a blogger it has made me really think about content, which is awesome because sometimes I do not think too much about what I write to you guys. I realized I need to be providing the best content I can every day. Right right?! 🙂

Happy Tuesday friends! More later today about our little adventure this weekend! 🙂

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
