Today we are heading up to Austin for the night to spend time with some family and friends. I love Austin and if we didn’t live in Traverse City we would find every way to be living there so we always try to make the trip up to get our fix. Do any of you have your favorite places in Austin if you have been? I always try to make it to South Congress and the food trucks. Always fun!

I will be posting our pictures from Arkansas and Missouri as soon as we return! I also am excited to share some pie making for Thanksgiving! I love the cooking of Turkey day and do my best to eat as little as possible so I am not busting my butt before Christmas to get back in shape. ha. What are you guys looking forward to for Thanksgiving?

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
