Monday Inspiration #18

This morning I wish I had my camera when I woke up because the cool cold 38 degree morning created the most beautiful fog on Lake Michigan this morning. The sky was pink, purple, and yellow as the sun rose over Old Mission Peninsula. It was beautiful. All the sailboats were on smooth as glass water and slowly appearing through the fog. That is about as best as I can describe the beautiful landscape I woke to.

If I had captured that that would have been the Monday Inspiration but since I did not I want to share some very cool Textiles that were on Martha Stewart that my wonderful Husband shared with me. Totally in love with these and would love to do a series for Traverse City like this. So very cool. If you want to see more head over here at Martha Stewart to get a full dose of these gorgeous illustrated textiles.

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
