This week has been a good one. I have been working to schedule work more loosely so I have more time for the things that make me feel healthy and happy. I stopped working out regularly a while back and whenever that happens I just don’t feel good about myself. I love working out so I knew I needed to find a way to bring it back into my life, thus I needed to not schedule so many things together, making myself work more than I really should everyday. It feels good to have time to go to the grocery store not at 2 AM and to work out mid afternoon cause that is when I feel the most motivated. Life has felt more balanced this week and I dig that.

I am excited for these warmer and longer days that cater to fires, casual evenings laughing with friends, and cooking up some fresh and local eats. Looking forward to all sorts of that this weekend. I really have no hard plans and I am pretty excited about that…now if only it was warm enough to go to the beach and get a tan.

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
