Our one Wild Life. A Mary Oliver Quote. REad more on The Fresh Exchange

Share:

The height of summer is upon us. The days are long and warm. We are full of sunlight. Our hair smells of bonfires and fresh air. We have a bathing suit permanently in our car and we are trying desperately to soak up these sunny days the best we can.

Summer has always felt like the wildest season of all. The days we wake early to squeeze in work so we can cut out early for a jump in the lake. The weekends full of late nights watching the sun linger over the water. It is a time to live less out of predictability and instead embrace each moment. So this month we will be embracing what it Wild really means. I felt no better way to kick into this new month and theme than this quote from Mary Oliver.

So, to kick off this month I will leave you with the above quote and suggest you sign up for our updates/monthly list on our newsletter so you receive our July email full of sneak peeks at upcoming content, 5 things you should do this month, info on this month’s contributor, and more.

So tell me what are you planning to do this month of wildness?

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
