An Outdoor Revamp with At Home: Shopping
Today we continue our story with At Home to do a little update to our deck for the spring. If you missed it two weeks back we shared what our current outdoor space looks like you can see it here. We have some great bones to work with and are excited to put the space together.
Before going to At Home, we had never ever been to one of the stores. I saw it one time when we were at Lowe’s when we were renovating our bathrooms and choosing faucets, but I had no idea what it was so it was so fun to head in and check out the store for the first time for this post. The store is huge! It is really amazing how much variety and options are available. They had one whole half of the store dedicated to just outdoor furniture, pillows, pots, lighting, and the list goes on. Everything you could imagine.

What was really awesome about the store were the prices. Everything is very reasonable and I loved the selection of pots for plants. I have always stayed away from committing to too many pots because they were expensive, but at At Home the options are amazing and the prices are even better.
What is really cool about the store is that every type of pattern for every type of personality and personal style you can imagine is available. I actually had a lot of fun dreaming up some funky things you could do as we wandered through the store. We ultimately didn’t go with these ideas, but it was still fun to think up really neat combinations we could do!
One of my favorite finds for our space was one of their outdoor rugs. It was not only the perfect style, but it also was the right size. The cool thing about the options they have is that they have a ton of variety and great systems for looking and finding your size you want with rugs. If you need a rug this is a great place to find one!
Finally, we had to do some pillow selection. We ultimately realized that our bench is too custom of a size to use pillows from At Home which broke our hearts cause we found some we liked, but instead we decided to come up with a group of back pillows to help create a more lounge feeling instead. We went through aisles and aisles of pillows selecting and combining what we thought would look perfect.
Finally, we found a few more pieces and with a loaded cart headed on home to look through everything and figure out what worked just right and what didn’t. Needless to say, our experience wandering through At Home to find what we needed for the update was a fun. We love a lot of the accessories and pots we found that worked perfectly. Next, we will share what we found before we share the final look of the space! We cannot wait to share!
