There is nothing I love more on the weekends than waking up slow and the feeling of being all cozy and warm under the piles of blankets. Then waking up stairs, starting the fire, and cuddling on the couch while sipping espresso and eating a big breakfast full of fresh veggies. This weekend we have no plans but to relax and take in some slow time together.

Tonight I have planned to make this apricot pizza and these cookies for dessert, drink wine, build a blanket fort, and watch a movie together cuddled by the fire. It is snowing out and in some ways it feels like we left to go to the mountains for the weekend without ever leaving home.

What do you have planned?

Hello! I’m Megan Gilger,

A strong believer that nature and the seasons are our greatest teachers. We live on a hill in Leelanau County, Michigan just a stone’s throw from Lake Michigan. This land we are responsible for is where we are focused on building a life around the seasons and intention. We spend our days here building a regenerative model of living and focusing our garden on native plants and intensive polyculture planting styles. My focus is less on self-sufficiency and more on community-sufficiency through how we grow and connect through the seasons.
